The Gent here. The house rules, as short as I could make them. Chalk up and read on.

Who we are, and what these terms cover

Mingaud is a pool training website and app, run by "Mingaud" (we'll add the company name here once it's formed). By using the site or the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle your information is in the privacy policy.

A free beta, provided "as is"

Mingaud is free while it's in beta. We provide it "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. Features may change, move or break, and we may add, remove or limit parts of Mingaud at any time. We don't promise it will always work, be available, or be free of errors. Because your practice data is stored only on your device, keeping backups is your job. We can't recover lost data.

Drill guidance is approximate

The tip heights, speeds, animations and other guidance in Mingaud come from a physics model. A model is a simplification, so the guidance is approximate. Every table, cloth, cue and set of balls plays differently. Treat it as a starting point and adjust to what you see at your table. We don't promise that following a drill will improve your game or produce any particular result.

Play safely

Pool involves cues, heavy balls and a table that's easy to trip over. Use common sense and take care of the people and property around you. We're not responsible for any injury or damage that happens while you practice or play.

Our content belongs to Mingaud

The drills, lessons, text, artwork, animations, and The Gent are Mingaud's. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial practice. Please don't copy, republish, sell, scrape or build on them without asking us first.

Your feedback and ideas

If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions, thank you. We're free to use them to improve Mingaud without owing you anything for it.

Not affiliated with anyone

Mingaud isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by APA, BCA, WPA or FargoRate. Their names appear only to describe skill levels and rules that players already know, and they belong to their owners.

Links to other sites

Lessons link to their sources, and the site links to our Instagram. Those sites aren't ours, so we're not responsible for what's on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mingaud and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost games, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site or the app. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Mingaud in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Mingaud grows. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If you keep using Mingaud after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
