The Gent here. Short version: your practice stays on your phone, and nobody's watching. The rest is below, in plain English.

Who we are

Mingaud is a pool training website and app, run by "Mingaud" (we'll add the company name here once it's formed). Questions about this policy: hello@mingaud.com.

The short version

  • There are no accounts yet. Your practice data stays in your browser, on your device. We never receive it.
  • No analytics, no ads, no cookies set by us, no tracking.
  • We only hear from you if you choose to send us feedback.

Your practice data stays on your device

Mingaud has no accounts or sign-in. Everything you log is saved in your browser's local storage (a small area of your browser that websites can use to remember things). That includes your sessions (every shot you log), the notes you write, your level and routine, and your settings and preferences, such as your weekly goal, your playback speed, which version of a drill you picked, and whether you've already seen the welcome and "What's new" screens.

That data lives only on the device and browser you used. We don't receive it, we can't see it, and we can't recover it for you. If you clear your browser's data or delete the app, it's gone. A different phone or browser starts fresh.

Backup files

In Settings you can save a backup file of your sessions. You create that file, and it's saved wherever you choose (your Files app, iCloud Drive, an email to yourself, and so on). We never receive it. When you restore from a backup, the file is read inside your browser and isn't sent anywhere.

No analytics, ads or cookies

We don't use analytics, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across sites or over time. We don't set cookies. The local storage described above stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

Services that host and style the site

Mingaud doesn't run its own servers. It relies on three outside services, and when your browser loads a page, it makes requests to them. They may log basic request data, such as your IP address and browser type, under their own policies, not ours:

The app also checks for updates by asking our host for its own latest page. That request doesn't include anything you've logged.

Feedback and contacting us

Feedback is something you choose to send. In the app, the feedback button opens your messaging app with a text message already started. It includes the app's version and your device type (iPhone, Android or computer) so we know what you were using. If you send it, we see your phone number and your message. If you email hello@mingaud.com, we see your email address and your message. We use these only to reply and to improve Mingaud. We keep feedback messages only as long as they're useful. If you'd like yours deleted, just ask.

Children

Mingaud isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.

When accounts arrive

We plan to add accounts and cloud sync someday. When that happens, we'll update this policy before anything changes, so you'll know what we collect and why before it starts.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
